'What the hell's your issue with me?'

<sub>I said. "...Seriously, one night you'll let me help and then - just - this!" He was dead silent. I heard my voice bounce off the walls. I looked him in the eye. There was no light, he looked empty, like nothing I was saying was even registering in his head. "...Shin..." I leaned forward, and his hand shot to my shoulder when I got close. It made me half scared, half relieved to see life, movement, anything, jump into him then. I kept my eyes on his, trying to figure out everything he wouldn't tell me. He looked just past me, focusing on his hand, following it with his eyes as he shifted it to the centre of my chest. For some reason, my damn heart wouldn't stop..p-pounding. It really was goddamn weird being so touchy-feely with another guy, especially him of all people.
"Because..." He spoke slowly, his stare fixed at that point. "You have nothing here. It's... blank, yes?"

I hesitated, "...Yeah?"

"...You don't carry it. Anything like it."

With one glance down to his chest, I knew what he meant, the spiderweb scars suddenly more prominent to me. "..Tch... You don't think I don't feel grateful or someth-"

"No. I want it to stay that way."

Well, that shut me up.

"I've never had full knowledge of it." He explained, "For all I know, something from it could very well attach to you."

"Why do you -.. Do you think..." I stumbled and stammered over damn words. I took a deep breath. "Why do you think that could happen?" I forced my temper down.

"...You're the only outsider who's come into such close contact with it. " He spoke it almost as if he recited his explanation. Like he anticipated every response of mine before. How friggin' condescending.

I sighed, put my hand over his, and pulled it down. "Stop it. That's the thing about you practical people. Never know how to live in the present." It seemed like something was coming back to him, like he was starting to listen. "So sit down, and let me give you some sleep tonight. There's a mission tomorrow."

No response.

I said, with my stern comforting, "What'll come'll come. For now, let's just deal with what's straight in front of us."
He slid to the floor from the wall he was so heavily slumped on.
I crouched down in front of him and, after a moment's hesitation, sparked my jutsu then placed my hands on his chest.</sub>

OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOD. This is by far one of the hardest bases i've ever changed xD; Maybe not THE hardest but holy shit... I wanted to give up so many times.

Since you wanted to do a skit, onee (and sorry for stealing your thunder OTL;; ???) Maybe you could do yours as Shin's POV? >/w/< And, since this is probably drastically out of character for him change whatever, especially dialogue if you feel so inclined. XD I couldn't remember the finer details of his marking, like if he knew everything about it, so I sorta winged it a bit xD;
